FAQs – Carbon Plate Fitting Service

General Questions

  1. What is carbon plate fitting?
We custom-fit ultra-thin carbon fibre plates inside your trainers, boots, or sports shoes to improve stability, prevent injury, and enhance performance. Depending on the plate you choose, this can include improved stability and forward momentum control (Anchor Plates) or added spring-like propulsion (Jet Plates).
  2. Do you supply the trainers or boots?
No – you send us your own footwear for the fitting.
  3. Which footwear brands/models do you accept?
We work with most major sports brands (Nike, Adidas, Puma, Asics, Mizuno, etc.). If you’re unsure about your shoe’s compatibility, contact us here before ordering.
  4. Can I send football boots, rugby boots, or trail shoes?
Yes – we work with a wide range of sports footwear. Suitable for football, rugby, hockey, running, and other dynamic sports. If you are unsure please do not hesitate to contact us here before you make an order.
  5. What condition should my shoes be in?
We accept brand new or used shoes that are clean and in good condition. We cannot work on excessively worn, damaged, or dirty shoes.
  6. Can I send used trainers?
Yes – as long as they’re in good, clean condition.
  7. Will the plate change how my shoes feel?
Our plates are just 1 mm thick, so your size won’t change. However, you will feel increased stability and stiffness (Anchor Plates) or extra propulsion and spring (Jet Plates).
  8. Can I choose the stiffness or type of plate?
    Yes – choose between:
  • Anchor Plates (£50): Injury prevention, stability, and forward momentum control.
  • Jet Plates (£70): Injury prevention plus added energy return for explosive performance.
  1. Is the carbon plate removable?
No – it is permanently fitted for maximum performance.
  2. Will this affect the shoe’s warranty?
Yes – modifying your shoes may void the manufacturer’s warranty.
  3. What are the plates made from?
    Anchor Plates –
hard carbon resin with a high PVC content, tried and tested by ourselves for a decade, very rigid.
Jet Plates – high-grade 100% carbon fibre, extremely strong, ultra-lightweight, and engineered for durability. The same grade of carbon fibre used in elite motorsport and light aircraft construction.
  4. How long do the plates last?
  • Anchor Plates: Built to last as long as your shoe.
  • Jet Plates: Around 400 miles of use (varies depending on individuals’ weight and intensity of use e.g. sprinting vs jogging)
  1. Can the plates be fitted to any shoe size?
Yes we can fit the plates to any child or adult size shoes.
